Intro to Woodshop Machinery

$50.00

This hands-on introductory class gives beginners a guided look at MADE’s woodshop and the large equipment used for common woodworking projects.

Students will learn basic woodshop safety, PPE, safe workflow, and the purpose of key machines such as the miter saw, table saw, planer, jointer, band saw, drill press, and sanders.

This is not a project-based class. The focus is on getting comfortable in the woodshop, understanding what the machines do, and learning how to approach the space safely and responsibly.

Open to both members and non-members. For MADE members, completion of this class is required before independent woodshop use. Some specialty tools may require additional training or approval.

Weekly sessions: Wednesdays, 11 AM–1 PM or 5 PM–7 PM.
